After the event, Portcast closed contracts with two new customers and signed up additional trial customers. Based on the network we built from the Captain’s Table, we have had interest from potential customers from various countries globally. We have developed our product into a self-serve SaaS model with a simple interface and low integration needs and are bringing new customers live every month.
The Captain’s Table has proven itself to be one of the (very) few independent, unbiased industry powerhouses for any start-up to enter. The shipping industry is often seen as sluggish and slow to adopt – and that is probably personified by an inability for start-up’s both focused in maritime and outside of maritime to have a trusted platform to showcase their solutions. The Captain’s Table allows just that – a safe, professional space for start ups of all shapes and sizes to present their solutions to a packed room of industry experts without feeling like there’s a risk of being misunderstood.
