In a significant move for the industry, The Captain’s Table successfully organised its first showcase event in the Middle East, titled “Dubai: Maritime Tech Demo Day”. Held in early November 2025, the event marked a pivotal moment for maritime innovation in the region.

The gathering attracted over 100 attendees, creating a vibrant atmosphere where industry veterans, investors and technologists connected. At the heart of the event was a pitch competition evaluated by a panel of three judges, each selected for their diverse backgrounds and deep expertise in the maritime sector.

The highlight of the day was the presentation of the Judges’ Choice Award. After a competitive round of pitches, the top honour was awarded to Ensomatosys Group Ltd. The judges were impressed by their intelligent systems designed to deliver real-time measurement and analysis of fuel oil, a solution that promises to help ship operators optimise efficiency and make informed fuel decisions.

The stage also featured compelling presentations from the other finalists, including Navguide Solutions PTE. Ltd, The Oceann AI Technology, Sea-Squad AI and Blychain Network. These startups showcased a range of forward-thinking solutions, from AI-driven vessel inspections and role-specific AI agents to blockchain ecosystems for global trade.
